SAWStudio is a powerful PC based Digital Audio Workstation.
SAWStudio's MIDI WorkShop provides usefull facilities for patch management, however creating the patch definitions can be a great deal of work. There are many Instrument Definitions (that name the sounds available in Synthesisers) available on the Web for the Cakewalk Sequencer. These have all the information SAWStudio Midi WorkShop (MWS) needs but in the wrong format.
Here is both a converter to make MWS patch definitions from Cakewalk ones, and a large number of instrument definitions already converted.
